How to Set up a Blog and Connect with Adsense
In our discussions with people who are not so exposed to the internet, we have been getting a lot of question on how to start their own personal blogs (Paano ba gumawa ng website at saan ba magsisimula?) For those who have never had any experience with blogging before or dealing with any content management systems, we recommend that you start with using Blogger.
Blogger is very simple to use and very easy to maintain. They have designs that you can choose from. It takes around less than 10 minutes to set up a Blogger account.
Now, if you plan to earn by placing ads in your site, of course, Goggle Adsense is the most popular advertising online network. Just like Blogger, it takes only a few minutes to set up.
We have made a step-by-step guide on how to register and enroll to these two platforms. We hope this helps the newbies!
We hope that once your blog, you won't stop

So how does adsense work? is it necessary? do I need paypal? Thanks for answering.
September 19th, 2010 - 22:19
adsense is basically google sharing revenue with you for displaying ads on your site. you earn ads for (1) the impressions or number of times it gets displayed and (2) the number of clicks your ads got. clicks get more, of course. it’ll be slow earnings at first but once you have a good reader base, the earnings will come in.
nope adsense is not necessary if you want to just blog. it’s just the easiest way (at least for me) to earn money from your blog.
you don’t need paypal. for me – i have cheque payments sent to me whenever I hit a certain amount that I set (minimum payout is $100).

I tried to apply for adsense for my personal blog but they rejected me saying that I have content that shouldn’t be there
can you check it out? http://kinneysworld.blogspot.com.

that is also my problem. i think they rejected my application thrice. and they always saying “UNACCEPTABLE SITE CONTENT”
September 23rd, 2010 - 11:45
Hi Allan! it’s probably because you have Entrecard on your blog. this is considered a violation of the prohibited uses section of the Google Adsense Terms & Conditions:
https://www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms
Prohibited Uses. You shall not, and shall not authorize or encourage any third party to: (i) directly or indirectly generate queries, Referral Events, or impressions of or clicks on any Ad, Link, Search Result, or Referral Button
Remove Entrecard and then apply for reconsideration. Hopefully they’ll approve you then.

Ahh. thank you sir EJ ..
i hope they will accept my application this time.
September 25th, 2010 - 07:33
sige, tell me if it worked!
September 29th, 2010 - 10:50
Sir EJ.. rejected po ulit e. ang reason naman this time:
*You must provide accurate personal information with your application that matches the information on your site.
*Your website must contain substantial, original content.
*Your site must comply with Google AdSense program policies:
need po help .

hey allan, one more idea — do you have an adblocker? You may not be seeing any of the fields (like torque15) so your personal information is incomplete.
October 1st, 2010 - 05:55
i’m not familiar with Adblocker.. anu un ?
September 23rd, 2010 - 11:46

Hi Allan, have you made sure that you satisfied all 3 requirements they stated? One thing you can check is the original content issue. You can do a quick check via http://copyscape.com and see what in your blog is seen as copied content.
I’m grasping at straws a bit here so we’re kinda gonna have to do this via trial & error, ok?

yup, that’s very possible. apply for a reconsideration like what Allan did.

hi sir ej. advise rin po. i’ve applied to monetize. the first time, i was rejected because of incomplete or wrong address. must have been the ad-blocking in my lappy. so i shifted browsers and used another pc and i can already see the fields i needed to fill up. i resubmitted but until now, no news. blog still shows the public service ads. is this a rejected or an acceptance? or currently under review? thanks!
October 1st, 2010 - 03:09
hey torque15 — wag mo ko i-sir! (ikaw din alan, dont sir me. haha)
If you see impressions, it’s just a matter of time before you get served some earning ads.
looks like it’s approved. However, make sure that you are using YOUR code for your ads. A quick check would be to check your google adsense account via http://www.google.com/adsense and see if you’re registering any impressions. You should!
October 6th, 2010 - 20:14
hi ej thanks for the reply! (that’s a start of dropping the sir, ehem)
google public service ads still up. if i click on the monetize tab, it says account is awaiting approval. i have a ca-pub id but when i click your link above, it says account not active, adsense account does not exist for this login, your application is currently in review. says they’ll get back in a week but that was weeks ago
suffice to say, i don’t think i can check the impressions yet. i’m still waiting though.
